Stephen Blackwell

Stephen H. Blackwell is a former president and current Board of Directors member of the International Vladimir Nabokov Society. A professor and chair of Russian at the University of Tennessee, he is the author of The Quill and the Scalpel: Nabokov and the Worlds of Science (2009), and co-editor of Fine Lines: Vladimir Nabokov's Scientific Art (2016); his first monograph was Zina's Paradox: The Figured Reader in Nabokov's Gift (2000). He has also published many articles on the intersection of Nabokov's art and science, as well as on links between his narratology, aesthetics, and ethics.
