Nadezhda Gribkova

Nadezhda Gribkova is a PhD candidate in Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago, writing on the poetics of emptiness in late Soviet visual culture. Her interests include aesthetic theory, Russian postmodernism, apophatic theology, and Russian religious thought. She is also the creator of PORA (Poetics through Russian Art), a YouTube channel and digital humanities project that explores how Russian and Soviet visual culture, from Orthodox iconography to constructivist design, speaks to broader ideas about ideology, beauty, and meaning. Personal Website.
