Victor Chernyshov (M.A. in Theology and Religious Studies, Saint Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Institute, Moscow, 2001; Ph.D. in Philosophy (the History of Philosophy), National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv, 2011) is Associate Professor of Philosophy, Social and Political Studies at the General Linguistics and Foreign Languages Department, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” in Poltava, Ukraine. His research areas include Ukrainian, Russian and European intellectual history, the history of ideas, theology, and the history of philosophical and religious thought, theory of translation, and cognitive linguistics. Over the past twenty years, he has been teaching courses of Philosophy, Social and Political studies, as well as Linguistics. He is also the author of numerous papers, articles and book chapters in Ukrainian, Russian, and English, and has participated in many academic conferences in Ukraine and abroad.
