Dr. Raul-Ovidiu Bodea is a Romanian Orthodox theologian. He serves as an Associate Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Oradea, Romania. In this capacity, he leads seminars on moral theology, spirituality, and bioethics. He completed his doctoral studies in theology at KU Leuven, Belgium, defending his thesis titled "Existentialism as a Methodological Paradigm for Orthodox Theology: Nikolai Berdyaev and John Zizioulas" in 2024. Dr. Bodea also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Orthodox Pastoral Theology from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Oradea, Romania, and a Research Master's: Masters of Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion from KU Leuven, Belgium. His research interests include: Russian Religious Philosophy with a focus on the thought of Nikolai Berdyaev, Neo-Patristic theology with a focus on the thought of John Zizioulas, modern Orthodox theology and Orthodox spirituality.
