Paweł Rojek

Paweł Rojek is a philosopher and sociologist, interested in analytic metaphysics, philosophy of religion, and Russian religious thought. He is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy of Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where he teaches ontology. Together with Teresa Obolevitch and late Artur Mrówczyński-Van Allen he co-edited a few books on Russian religious thought in the series Ex Oriente Lux run by Wipf and Stock. In his book  The Curse of Empire. Sources of Russian Conduct, published in 2014 in Polish, he provided a popular overview of current Russian geopolitical ideologies. The book has been translated into Czech, and English edition is in preparation. In his last works, he tries to combine Russian religious thought with contemporaty analytic philosophy. Currently he is working on a book on Pavel Florensky’s trinitarian ontology.
