Sarah Livick-Moses

Boston College

Sarah’s research has focused on a number of topics at the intersection of philosophy and theology, with a particular emphasis on the ways in which retrieving mystical theology might contribute to Eastern Orthodox theological anthropology, doctrine of God, prayer, and embodiment in the contemporary context. She is particularly focused on the work of Fr. Sergii Bulgakov and the 20th c. Russian-Paris school of Orthodox theological thought, as well as the reception of mystical theology in theological conversations concerned with intersectionality (sexuality, gender, and race). Sarah is currently writing a dissertation on the doctrines of Trinity and creation in Bulgakov's major theological writings. She is also the Managing Editor at the Journal of Religion and the Arts.
