Daniel is a writer studying in the field of religious studies at Southern Methodist University. The research areas in which he is most passionate include philosophical theology, literature, and aesthetics. His dissertation has to do with the theology of beauty in Sergii Bulgakov and how human creativity is theologically understood within Russian religious thought. Daniel is married to the lovely Celeste Jean, and they have a son, Rowan. When not teaching or writing, Daniel enjoys watching rugby (both Union and League), good coffee and wine, and meandering conversation on obscure fiction with friends around a fire.
